Alta Badia
Alta Badia (German: Hochabtei) is one of the South Tyrolean Ladin valleys, together with the nearby Val Gardena (German: Grödental, Ladin Gherdëina). Alta Badia lies at the Pale Mountains (Italian: Monti Pallidi, German: Bleiche Bergen) foot, and offers first rank ski resorts like Corvara (German: Kurfar), popular among (true or so presumed…) show business and industry VIPs in winter and in summer. Another choice for your holidays in Italy Alta Badia is San Vigilio di Marebbe (German: Sankt Vigil in Enneberg, Ladin Mareo), a very popular wellness resort all year round. Holidays Alta Badia don’t just mean wellness and elegance, but sport and nature as well. In winter, the Alta Badia ski and chair-lifts will take you in height, where you can try many kinds of ski runs, grouped in the famous “Dolomiti Superski” ski zone. Thanks to it, you can reach Val Gardena very easily; in summer, Alta Badia offers wonderful hiking trips and mountain bike tracks in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Natural Park (Italian: Parco Naturale di Fanes-Sennes-Braies, German: Naturpark Fanes-Sennes-Prags, Ladin Parch Natural Fanes-Sennes-Braies).
