South Tyrol holidays
If you love nature and the mountains landscapes, the “Knottnkino” is absolutely a “must” during your South Tyrol holidays! It lies between Avelengo (German: Hafling) and Merano (German: Meran, Ladin Maran) and it was thought by the artist Franz Messner in 2000. He had the intuition of putting on the “Sasso Rosso” (Red Stone) mountain peak 30 chairs in steel and wood, to let tourist sit down quietly and enjoy the wonderful panorama covering the middle Val d’Adige (German: Etschtal), with Merano and surroundings (German: Meran und Umgebung, Italian: Merano e dintorni) with the valleys around this city. The panorama is encircled by the Dolomites and the Tessa Group (Italian: Gruppo del Tessa, German Texelgruppe) mountain massifs. The natural sun illumination and the changing perspective offer a true show in the mountains which can’t be copied even by the Hollywood special effects!
